Teen Creative Writing

Teen Creative Writing In-Person

The St. Marys Community Public Library hosts creative writing classes every Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Join us to create characters and worlds. Located in the Young Adult section of the library.

This month, participants will spend the first two weeks (April 2nd and April 9th) writing a rotating story. They will then write a second rotating story for the last two weeks of April (the 16th and 23rd).

The process of writing encourages critical thinking. Organizing thoughts into coherent narratives requires analyzing, synthesizing, and evaluating information effectively. Writing nurtures creativity and imagination. Writers can create worlds, characters, and stories that reflect their interests, dreams, and unique perspectives. Teens can use this class to help build characters for future projects like their own stories, comic books, and video games.
